Borfloch is a small community on the parish of Le Palais in Belle-Ile en mer. It is ideally situated, 5 minutes ride by car, 10 minutes cycling from the main town Palais and its various shops. You will also benefit from being very close to a supermarket (about 1 km).
Borfloch is a peaceful little place away from the busy town centre. When in Borfloch you will be 300m from the pretty coast road that goes from Palais to a village named Locmaria, east of the Island. On this side of the island you will discover many sheltered sandy beaches. The nearest one “Bordardoué” is fortified and is located under “Belle Fontaine” which is a fortified stone water tank built according to Vauban’s plans to provide clippers and other boats with water.
If you feel like it, it is very easy to get across the island using well signposted footpaths and small roads. You will enjoy the wild and natural habitat of the small beaches, coves and inlets at the bottom of these impressive cliffs.
From Borfloch, Locmaria, in the south east, Sauzon in the North West and Port Coton in the south west are all easy to reach either by car or by bicycle.
